So far for me, living in community has been an entirely positive experience. I must say that one of the greatest benefits about living in this house is experiencing Nora.

Nora is probably the most interesting and entertaining four year-old I have ever met. Although both of her parents are vegetarians, Nora makes it clear daily that she LOVES animals. For food. She is also quick to mention that she is not a vegetarian as an excuse for not eating vegetables. Last night Nora hesitated briefly before eating the ham on her plate.... until Ryan told her that it was the butt of a pig. Her eyes lit up immediately and before long we heard, "Mommy, more butt of a pig, please!"
Tonight she was devastated to find out that we were eating tofu burgers, and she spent a good portion of the meal pleading for yesterday's leftover "pig of a butt".
