So Ryan and I have been in Cincinnati for over a week now. I still find it hard to believe that I actually LIVE here. Its gradually becoming more real. I know that certain challenges and frustrations are inevitable when you put 12 people together in a house, but I really think I was made for community living. It just feels right.
The day begins early here. Every morning I find myself waking up at 6am with this prayer: "Dear God, please making me a morning person." We all gather around the table at 7am for prayer, Scripture reading, and a hymn, all by candle light. When we finish, we all share breakfast together. It has quickly become my favorite part of the day.
We've been having some good times: a pumpkin carving party here at the house, a party with authentic Mexican food next door, and a halloween event.
I hadn't planned on dressing up for Halloween, but at the last minute, Marissa gave me a headband with cat ears. I pinned a gray scarf on the back of my pants and drew whiskers on my cheeks. We didn't really have too many trick-or-treaters come by, but it was still a good time.
Tonight I'm getting together with my friends Tee and Christa to celebrate Tee's birthday. Then tomorrow Ryan and I are going to King's Island with one of the families from our house. Yea.
