Things that, at some point, I was certain would have happened by now but haven't happened yet:

-I would live in a foreign country.
-I would visit Thailand, travel down the Amazon in a river boat, SCUBA dive in Australia, and/or backpack in Europe.
-I would be married.
-I would learn to play the guitar.
-I would have a clue what I was doing with my life.

Things that I never would have expected to happen, but they did (and it turns out, I'm glad):

-I majored in elementary education.
-I lived in Texas for over a year.
-I resigned from a missionary organization.
-I was a children's pastor.
-I moved back to Ohio.
-I live in an old convent with 11 other people.

Obviously, things don't always work out as I plan. But some good things have happened along the way. Not knowing what I'm doing with my life sometimes makes me naseous. But maybe that's okay too. And maybe its even normal.
