Ryan and I arrived in Dallas last night, and we were greeted at the airport by five of our great friends. The best was part was that my 10 year-old friend Savanna had no idea that I had made the trip along with Ryan. As soon as she saw me, she sprinted over to me for a great hug. The expression on her face was priceless.
In the last day, I've spent some time catching up with my former roommates, Christy and Meredith, and my good friends, Scott and Holly. Its so refreshing to have face to face conversations after being gone for seven months!

Luisa is another amazing little girl that I became good friends with while I lived in Texas. She had no idea I made the trip here, so Savanna invited her to sleep over so that we could surprise her too. Luisa was so shocked and happy to see me that she jumped up and started crying as we hugged. Savanna, Luisa, and I spent a fabulous night eating pizza, riding a go-cart, jumping on the trampoline, doing each other's make-up and hair, and watching 'The Sand Lot'. Now that everybody is heading to bed for the night, I think Meredith and I are going to go downtown for a poetry slam (or something). I am just so happy to be here.

Thank you, Bob and Cindy, for getting me a plane ticket so that I could make this trip. You are amazing, and I am so grateful!
