I have thought about totally abandoning my blog and just using my fotopage, but I think I'll try to keep this going...

It has been a week full of visitors. On Tuesday night, my friend Christa came down from Xenia overnight, and on Wednesday morning, my mom arrived from New Hampshire to spend the week here with us. My friend Matthew came down from Washington Court House on Friday, and we also had a family stay with us for a night this weekend. It feels good to have a house full of people. (But after so much socializing, its nice to be hiding in my room now too...)

I just opened my phone bill and discovered that I had some unexpected charges... $143 extra! I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I knew it had to be a mistake, and fortunately, I was right. I'm glad I called T-Mobile before paying it (not that I could have paid it, even if the charges were correct!)

Yeah, I need a job. I'm still praying and doing everything I can think of to try to pursue a teaching job for this fall. It has been very discouraging though... Almost all of the districts in this area have a freeze on hiring. Funding is low, and teachers are getting pink slips. I've called several of the private schools as well, and I haven't found any that are hiring either. It just isn't a good time to be searching for a teaching job in Ohio. I know that if any hiring does happen, it will probably not be until August, and in some cases, they even wait until after the school year begins. I'll take a last-minute position if a good opportunity comes my way, but its not exactly how I would choose to go about getting a job. Its even harder for me to get excited about more substitute teaching. Sigh. Please keep me in your prayers.
