I just started reading Travels With Charley by John Steinbeck. How did I manage to go this long without reading it? His adventure begins in New England, and I am loving to read about his interactions with the people there. I grew up in New Hampshire, but I have also lived in Ohio and Texas. I know that there is something about the ways of living, the attitudes, and interpersonal communication that is unique to New England. I have some ideas, but I can't always put my finger on what those differences are. For anyone who is willing to share, I would be really interested in reading about your experiences, observations, or stereotypes of New Englanders. (I know that many of these may be negative, but I won't be offended... I find it entirely amusing. Hold nothing back.)
geography quiz: Name the six New England states.
