In the last couple of weeks, I have finished reading Seven Years in Tibet by Heinrich Harrer, Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck, and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. All three of them are related to travel and adventure, and each one makes some connection to the process of learning that happens when you journey with an open mind.
I've read a lot of books that are in some way related to traveling... and most of the time, both the author and the main characters are male. I don't have a problem with this, but I am wondering if anybody out there can suggest some good titles on this topic with women as the adventurers in the story.
I haven't traveled a lot, but I've traveled enough to know that I am addicted. I think about traveling everyday. There is just so much out there to see and experience... And when I'm not traveling myself, I like to be reading about it. Let me know if you can suggest anything.

found your site thru the blogger profiles (we both list divine conspiracy as fave books) - and first thing i thought of on this topic of travel was another book you might like. sorry, male-oriented again. but it's *four souls*, about four guys who leave college to travel around the world, doing mission things in an "epic" way. it's cool, might be up your alley.
nice site!
