I'm here, writing from the convent once again. Its been so nice to be home. It has been a full week. I spent the first few days in Norwood catching up with so many friends over shared meals or cups of coffee. On Thursday, two friends came down from Washington Court House to get me and took me out for dinner. I got to spend time with several other good people in town and stayed the night there. In the morning, another friend picked me up, drove me up to Columbus, and took me out for breakfast.
There in Columbus, I met up with dozens of friends from college who had gathered for our annual New Year's party. I had two full days with good people, good food, and good conversations... These yearly reunions are so beautiful. People who have been living in Ohio, California, Arizona, Illinois, New Hampshire, Kansas, Michigan, and even Japan were all together again. This event has grown and even as I reconnect with close friends from college, I also get to meet some great new people. I hope that we're able to keep this tradition going for a long time.
I wish that I had a little more time here. And there were several people that I was not able to see during this visit. Still, I can hardly complain. In just one week, I was able to spend time with well over 50 people that I care about. This was a dream vacation.
