In a little over a week, I will be heading to San Jose, California to visit one of my friends from college during our spring break. It looks like I'll also be able to see my aunt and one of my friends from grad school while I'm out there. Traveling and friends... what could be a better combination?

Last night I stayed up way too late for a school night, but it was worth it. I went to New Market with my friends Seth and Brian to see a couple of blue grass bands at The Stone Church, a really great venue that was converted from an old New England church building. The Hot Buttered Rum String Band put on a great show. It was a fairly small crowd, but almost everybody there danced and jumped around for a good two hours while they played. I went home exhausted and happy, slept for four hours, and somehow made it through the school day.

Who's in San Jose? I just went to a Chicago Fire v. San Jose Earthquakes game last weekend. It was a great game and Chicago won! Yehaw!

Sarah Ronczkowski is in San Jose. And my Auntie Joy is nearby. And Chris Little from GIAL. And I found out that Over the Rhine is going to be out there doing the west coast tour while I'm there, so I'll get to see Ryan, Karin, and Linford too! Good times!
