I went to two concerts this week... Over the Rhine on Tuesday night and Sufjan Stevens on Wednesday night. Needless to say, I'm dragging a little bit today. As if simply showing up for a day of first grade wasn't exhausting enough... I have to torture myself with lack of sleep.
I have a new student joining my class tomorrow. He will be number 22. If you have never had the opportunity to spend 7 consecutive hours alone with 22 children (ages 5 to 7), you should try it sometime. Its possible that the experience would lead you to fast and pray on my behalf.
Really. Can you pray for me?

I have and will keep at it... I'm sure they all adore you. I still have the most fond memories of my kindergarten teacher. Her gentleness and genuine interest in me has stayed with me.
Thank you, Angie! The last couple of days have been better. I felt like I could still smile by the time the school day ended!
