I'm pretty sure that the Wampanoag Indians did not wear headdresses like these. I don't mean to mislead my students, but the room parents arranged for the projects. I did intervene when one of my little boys was running around the room doing his own (loud) version of an Indian war-cry dance. I told him it would be much more appropriate to say "Kwe", which is the Wampanoag greeting. (It's much quieter too...)
