I have a glorious half day off. Yesterday the kids went home at noon, and I spent the rest of the day in conferences with parents. I had several more conferences this morning. Who knew that having 13 conferences with parents could be more exhausting than spending a day with 22 first graders?
Overall, the meetings went quite well. Despite any other problems or concerns, I consistently heard from parents that their child really likes being in school. This is great news.
